Newport Socialite
Ashley is a native Islander who always swore she'd leave but over two decades later is still here and grows to love this little town more and more each day. Ashley enjoys long walks on the beach, dancing with her friends and most recently Pilates. She is a recent college grad who is currently exploring the real world. Most importantly, she wants to share with you the local knowledge acquired over the many years of growing up in this tourist town ? especially when it comes to shopping.
Erik
Man's Man/Ladies Man/Man about town
Erik moved to Newport, Rhode Island from humble beginnings in Colorado. He has a passion for fine dining, software engineering, Piña Coladas and getting caught in the rain. He is also handsome. His reviews tend to inspire and captivate, while at the same time motivate the reader to become a better person. He also knows Kung Fu. So if you see Erik around the bars, or peering in your windows, don't hesitate to say hello or buy him a drink ? he would like that.
Robyn
The Newport Scoop Queen
Robyn is a web designer and may or may not be romantically involved with Erik. In fact, she designed the scoop herself and has mad web skillz. Robyn enjoys drinking and dancing, and reviewing establishments that offer the same. Robyn likes cheese. Sean
All Around Badass
Sean was born in Newport, and has lived on Aquidneck Island his entire life. He dislikes tourists in the summer, but misses them by the time winter arrives. Sean is rather blunt, and will tell you exactly what he is thinking, whether you like it or not. He doesn't like to dance, and thinks he looks rather handicapped when he does. Most importantly, he will take bribes for good reviews on The Scoop.

Although he now lives on the mean streets of south-central Portsmouth, RI, he continues to cast his benevolent gaze towards Newport and its teeming multitudes.
