Tropical Gangsters is a boutique dress shop located on Thames Street. It has a wide variety of dresses ($50-$150) and night life gear for girls mid-teens to mid-thirties. The staff is usually very energetic and helpful. They wouldn't want you leaving empty handed!
Their selection changes out consistently and there is always something new to be found. They carry dresses, shirts, skirts, jeans, shoes and accessories. Some of their dresses do tend to fit small, as they are geared towards Junior's sizes, but I have always been able to find a dress and I am no where close to that size.
All in all, it's a great shop geared toward twenty-something women and I wish there were more of those in Newport!
