Norey's, Newport, Rhode Island
Robyn's Review
03/10
Sadly I have been requested to post a re-review of Norey’s. It seems as though everything once good in Newport is slowly going down-hill. The food quality ruined, the service unhurried, the menu slashed and specials vanished, this Broadway restaurant no longer deserves a spot on our “Best of Newport” list. Regrettably, I am taking 2 scoops away. Believe me; this pains me deeply as this restaurant is no longer my shining star.

Norey's is absolutely fabulous. Everything just works for this little restaurant nestled in on Broadway in Newport. From the minute you enter the front doors, the whole experience is simply flawless. The atmosphere is trendy yet relaxing with great jewel tone colors filling the space.
Our server, Jasper, was friendly and outgoing while still professional. It is by far the best service to be found in Newport. The chef and owner, Tyler, is very engaged in his customers and is always coming out to talk to you personally to see how your meal was. He recognized me and my husband instantly even though we had only been once before.
The food is also amazing. Norey's carries the best appetizer in Newport: fried goat cheese served with toasted bread and fried spinach. One of my favorite entrees is the Chicken Parmagian which is a huge serving of chicken with a ton of melted cheeses (yum!) and a great marinara over pasta.
Norey's runs a special during the beginning of the week where you can order two entrees and a bottle of wine for $28. This kind of special can be found at multiple restaurants in Newport during the low season.
All in all, this is my favorite restaurant in Newport...everything from the atmosphere to the food and service is fantastic.
