What the hell is that smell? If you're asking that question, you are either sleeping on one of Newport's rotten, seaweed infested beaches, or you are staying at Motel 6. If I were you, I would rather sleep in my car than grab an inexpensive room at the latter.
The truth is, it's not a bad hotel, it's the location that sucks. Directly across the street, about 100 feet away from your room, is the Newport sewage plant. You might think this place is for you if you have lost your sense of smell... nope... you need to be blind too. No matter which room you stay in, you are guaranteed one of the worst views on the island. The vista west overlooks the sewage plant, the landscape south overlooks Walmart & The Mall Laundromat, and to the north & east you will find a lovely storage facility.
If you wanted to make this your worst vacation ever, stay here, and then grab a bite to eat at the Quahog Company!
